Jazmine Steele

 

Jazmine Steele is a community journalist and media producer from Detroit, Michigan. She received a Bachelors of Arts in Journalism and Public Relations at Grand Valley State in 2007. Her work has appeared in the Michigan Citizen Newspaper, Tom Joyner’s Black America Web and AOL.com’s Black Voices.  Jazmine has also spent her career working in public relations for non-profit and government agencies.

She is currently an Urban Fellow at Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, D.C.  While in seminary, she is focusing her studies on understanding the role of media in faith communities and has dedicated her vocation to using media to restore urban areas.

Her first book, Memoirs of a CommuniD Journalist, is set to be released in early 2014.
